The MTP was commanded by previous ERP leader Enrique Gorriarán Merlo. It performed the assault underneath the alleged pretense of protecting against a military coup supposedly prepared for that finish of January 1989 from the Carapintadas, a bunch of military officers who opposed the investigations and trials relating to Argentina's last civil-mil
